1Do I really get an internship placement after the course?
Yes! The core promise of the NEST framework is ensuring you gain real-world workplace experience. Our dedicated recruitment team handles placements with our network of hiring companies to get you working immediately after completing your track.
2Is the Career Support team available for both physical and online students?
Absolutely. Whether you learn at our Ikeja campus, our VGC Lekki campus, or via our hybrid/online tracks, you receive the exact same high-tier 1-on-1 CV optimization, interview prep, and internship placement opportunities.
3What if I have zero tech background?
The NEST is specifically built for you. Just like a bird’s nest is built to protect the fragile, our environment is tailored to take absolute beginners and systematically build their confidence and technical execution from scratch.
4Where do the internship placements take place, and what is the structure?
Most of our internship placements are 2 months long and fully remote, allowing you to gain practical experience from anywhere. However, some partner companies offer hybrid or on-site roles.
5Are the internships paid?
The majority of standard 2-month remote internships are unpaid, focusing strictly on giving you rapid, verifiable workplace experience. However, for positions that are hybrid or require on-site presence, companies typically provide a stipend, and a select few offer a full salary depending on their internal structures.
6How does Torilo Academy secure these partner companies?
We actually have a very strong ecosystem reputation. Because of the high quality of our training, a large number of tech companies and corporate partners actively reach out to us directly, seeking our graduates to fill their open internship and junior roles. We don't just hunt for opportunities; the market actively comes to the NEST for talent.
7What are the exact requirements to qualify for an internship placement?
Placement is a merit-based privilege earned through commitment. To qualify for a guaranteed internship position, you must maintain a minimum of 80% attendance across all your class sessions, participate fully in the collaborative lab phases, and successfully complete your capstone projects.
8Do you offer evening classes for working professionals?
No, we do not provide evening weekday options. Our tracks are highly intensive and structured to give you the best immersion.
9Can I still participate if I work full-time Monday to Friday?
Yes! While we don't have evening options, we do provide Saturday classes. This allows full-time workers and students to complete their intensive NEST training over the weekend without disrupting their weekday commitments. We would then work on securing you just remote internship.
10What happens if a 2-month internship doesn't turn into a full-time job?
The primary goal of the 2-month internship is to break the "no experience" loop on your CV. You leave the placement with a verifiable project track record and a corporate reference. Once that internship wraps up, the experience and the support our Career Support team have given you helps you in securing long term roles.
11What exactly does the 1-on-1 Career Support involve?
Our Career Support is highly individualized. While you prepare for your placements, our recruitment specialists work with you 1-on-1 to: Review and rewrite your CV to pass automated Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Optimize your LinkedIn profile to attract recruiters. Conduct realistic mock technical and behavioral interviews so you can build undeniable confidence.
